Description

Are you a skilled bid writer seeking a flexible, home-based role with an organisation that genuinely supports its staff? This company, a leader in providing wellness solutions to organisations, is deeply committed to employee wellbeing. Their services include employee assistance programmes, health assessments, mental health training, and trauma support. For example, their clients gain access to GPs, physiotherapists, and a dedicated nurse from day one of sickness.

Their client base spans notable organisations such as the DWP, Warburtons, and ASDA. As a Bid Writer, you’ll be part of a close-knit team of four within a larger bid writing department of 20. Typical tender values range from £60k to £500k.

You’ll benefit from regular one-to-ones, six-monthly goal-setting meetings, and access to a dedicated career development portal to track your growth and progression. Duties include:

Writing and submitting tenders and proposals while maintaining clear communication with clients.
Collaborating with internal teams to produce engaging, structured content.
Reviewing documents to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
Managing the sales email inbox and handling clarification queries via tender portals.
Monitoring upcoming contract opportunities and securing pre-qualification and tender documents.
You’ll bring a proven track record of successful bid writing (ideally 2+ years) and can confidently discuss your previous wins. Experience in the healthcare or public sectors is advantageous but not essential.

If you haven’t heard from us within 72 hours, please use the “Send Us A Message” form on the Red 5 People website, and a team member will get in touch. Please note, whilst this is a home based role, once a month you will need to travel to Warrington for team meetings.  The salary advertised is the top end, the actual range is £40k - £45k per annum (DOE).

Benefits include:

8% employer pension contribution (no employee contribution required).
25 days’ leave plus bank holidays.
24/7 access to a doctor and healthcare support.
Income protection and life insurance.
Flexible working arrangements.
Access to a career development academy
