Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

About the Role
Syntech Recruitment are partnered with one of the UK’s leading Aerospace Communications businesses. We are on the lookout for an exceptional Material Controller with proven experience working in Bonded Stores environments. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring inventory accuracy and seamless material flow within a highly regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities

Take full ownership of the bonded stores area, ensuring stock accuracy and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Perform incoming inspections of parts upon delivery to verify quality and compliance.
Manage the bonding in/out of materials in line with internal processes and databases.
Oversee kitting out of parts for multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery to support production milestones.
Conduct cycle counts of high-value items and oversee annual stocktakes to maintain accuracy.
Maintain clear records of checked-out bonded and non-bonded items.
Ensure COSHH cabinets and associated documentation are current and compliant.
Collaborate with procurement, production, and engineering teams to support material availability and resolve issues.
Update and manage MRP systems and procurement sheets to ensure data integrity.
Support packing, shipping, and logistics activities when required. 

Key Requirements

Essential:

Demonstrable experience working within Bonded Stores environments.
Strong understanding of inventory control processes and bonded material management.
Technical knowledge of machined components, including the ability to interpret technical drawings, surface finishes, and tolerances.
Proficiency in MRP systems and Microsoft Office software.
Practical experience using metrology equipment.
Experience operating a stack truck or similar equipment.
Excellent attention to detail and a process-driven mindset.Desirable:

Background in the Aerospace or Space sectors.
Previous experience within regulated industries, such as aerospace, defence, or communications.
