Description

An opportunity has become available for a Production Manager within the Operations team of our Fivemiletown Production Facility. The Production Manager will oversee the daily manufacturing activities of a team of 40.This is a permanent post.

Responsibilities

* Execute weekly and monthly production plans to meet demand while optimizing labour and resource allocation.

* Anticipate and resolve production bottlenecks or issues to maintain smooth operations and achieve On Time in Full.

* Day to day management of production team, including recruitment, appraisals, daily and weekly KPIs.

* Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and develop improvement plans to ensure goals are met.

* Develop and implement a structured training program focused on upskilling team members.

* Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the production team.

* Develop and monitor quality control procedure, investigate non-conformances and ensure corrective action is implemented.

* Monitor and control labour costs, including overtime, staffing levels, and productivity.

* Set, monitor, and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) for the production team, including output, efficiency, and quality metrics.

* Oversee and execute regular and accurate stock-taking activities to monitor and verify inventory levels.

* Lead Lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and safety across the production floor.

* Identify opportunities for improving method of operation in your area of responsibility and implement improvements which have been agreed with your Manager.

* Ensure preventative maintenance is carried out and equipment is available at all times

Requirements

Essential

* Previous people management experience of a team of 20 or more in a similar production/ manufacturing environment; including day to day management of production schedule and KPI’s

* Experience in the recruitment, training, onboarding and management of staff

* Proficient in use of people management software for instance clock in machines, and portals for managing absence.

* Experience din the management of budgets, including wages.

* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel

Desirable

* A Third level qualification in Fashion or Textiles Design

* Customer-facing experience.

* Knowledge of textiles manufacturing
