SERVICE VAN TECHNICIAN

Location of the Service Van Technician / Fleet Engineer / LCV Technician / Van Technician / Technician / Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Service Technician: Cambridge area

Salary for the Service Van Technician / Fleet Engineer / LCV Technician / Van Technician / Technician / Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Service Technician: £20.00ph (salary of approx £47K), plus overtime

Hours of work for the Service Van Technician / Fleet Engineer / LCV Technician / Van Technician / Technician / Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Service Technician: 45 hours a week, 05:00am - 14:00pm Monday to Friday

My client, a large dealership group specialising in commercial vehicles, are looking for an experience Technician / Mechanic to join their team as the Service Van Technician. You will be required to work at customers sites doing maintenance and repairs, as well as possibly helping in different workshops.

Main Duties and Responsibilities for the Service Van Technician / Fleet Engineer / LCV Technician / Van Technician / Technician / Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Service Technician:

* Carry out routine inspections, maintenance service and repairs on franchised and non-franchised Vans and Commercial Vehicles.

* Carry out a wide range of defect repairs including major unit overhaul.

* Fault diagnosis and rectification using the manufacturer’s computer system and tooling.

* Complete job cards and service sheets using online systems correctly and in line with warranty protocol.

* Carry out MOT preparations.

* Working alone at customer premises as well as part of a team at the workshop.

Requirement for the Service Van Technician / Fleet Engineer / LCV Technician / Van Technician / Technician / Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Service Technician:

* Pre-requisite NVQ L3 or similar

* Ideally experience with Vans and Commercial Vehicles

* Experience working at customer sites
