Conrad Consulting is currently offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Estimator on behalf of one of our clients. They are looking for someone who can bring a fresh perspective to their team and won't be afraid to suggest new ideas to improve their current practices. Our client completes a wide range of projects around the world, including all aspects of passive fire protection, firestopping, dry lining, partitioning, and more.

What you'll be doing/assisting with

Tender preparation for new and existing projects
Create a tender price from the ground up, based on the scope of work and the schedule.
Prepare a tender report in advance of tender adjudication.
Investigate the costs of subcontractors and materials.
Interact with clients to ensure they are kept up to date throughout the project's lifetime.
Monitor project progress and expenditures and report any deviations from the budget.
Establish and maintain positive connections with clients, supply chain partners, and internal/site teams.
Have working knowledge of current Health and Safety practice

What you'll need to be successful

Previous experience working within a competitive and successful estimating team or department
Excellent negotiation skills
Excellent levels of computer literacy, and be fluent in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Excellent communication skills, being able to liaise with senior clients and subcontractors
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise various tasks
Have working knowledge of current Health and Safety practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
What you'll get in return

Competitive salary of between £40,000 - £50,000, dependent upon experience
Auto enrolment pension contribution
24 days + public holidays per year
