Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Hertfordshire

Package: £75,000 - £85,000 plus 10% Car Allowance + Travel Fully Covered

Skilled Careers is delighted to be working with Europe’s fastest-growing construction company, a leader known for its innovation, exceptional project delivery, and dynamic growth. With a £500m+ turnover and a pipeline of high-profile projects, they are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take the commercial lead on a landmark £20m High-Spec Industrial New Build in Hertfordshire.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee all commercial aspects of the project, supported by an ambitious Quantity Surveyor. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a high-value build while working with an organisation committed to excellence and career development.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the commercial strategy and management for the £20m High-Spec Industrial project.

Take full responsibility for cost control, valuations, budgeting, and reporting to ensure project profitability.

Oversee and manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and final accounts.

Collaborate with the project leadership team to fulfil contractual obligations and optimise financial performance.

Mentor and support the Quantity Surveyor, ensuring effective teamwork and professional growth.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally with experience in high-value new build projects.

Exceptional commercial acumen and leadership skills.

Strong communication and organisational abilities, with a focus on detail and accuracy.

A collaborative and proactive approach to solving challenges and driving project success.
