Are you passionate about making a real difference in young people’s lives who have special needs an need a someone to be their voice? Teaching Personnel is offering a number of flexible teaching assistant roles which allows you to tailor work into your schedule whilst assisting at multiple locations. We support children at primary and secondary level, so there is wide range of ages to support.

We’re looking for someone who is confident with de-escalating challenging behaviour and possess strong behaviour management skills, able to work in different provisions and are highly reliable. Most Importantly this role requires you to be empathetic and patient as this is what these children need.

 About the role:

To start immediately in January
Small class sizes of 8-10, which creates strong relationships with the students
Teaching Assistant role is sometimes 1:1 with the students. Classroom is well             supported with other TA’s and a Teacher for support and guidance
No prior teaching qualifications/ experience needed
Monday- Friday (08:30-3:30). Work fits into your life which creates a healthy work/life balance
Roles are all over Bristol, supporting primary and secondary schools with children with special education needs and/ or emotional and social needs
What you need:

To have/ get a child only DBS on the update service and to have 24 month’s worth of references
Prior experience working with children with SEND needs (not essential but desired)
To be adaptable and resilient in challenging environments
To have a friendly and playful side to yourself
Demonstrate the willing to learn and to be flexible in supporting the schools needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
