Position: KS2 Teaching Assistant

Locations: Sheffield and Barnsley, South Yorkshire

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you’ll be a vital part of our team, helping to provide tailored support to students and assisting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.

Job Description:

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the classroom teacher in delivering the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
Working with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
Assisting with literacy, numeracy, and other key subjects to help students build strong foundations.
Encouraging the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and social skills.
Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) to ensure they can access the curriculum effectively.
Helping with classroom organization, preparation of resources, and displays.
Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers.
Qualifications:

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent.
Experience working with KS2 students is preferred.
Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and teaching strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children.
Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative.
