Design Engineer

Our Dorset based client are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join their team. The requires a dynamic problem solver wo can work on all stages of product development. An exciting business in a fast paced industry this role offers a great work culture and an opportunity to be an integral part of the team.

Responsibilities as Design Engineer

 - Support the company's existing range of products and put forward design proposals that fulfil the agreed specifications
 - Provide technical support to all stakeholders both internal and external
 - Share ideas and knowledge, having a focus on continuous improvement and suggesting improvements and upgrades
 - Get on board with lean initiatives
 - Take ownership, drive progress and work to targets
 - Manage multiple projects at any one time
 - Make designs using 3D CAD software
 
Previous experience and qualifications as Design Engineer

 - 3D CAD Software experience essential
 - Previous experience in a similar role within an engineering and manufacturing business
 - Design for Manufacturing experience
 - Strong IT Skills
 - Mechanical Engineering qualification
 - Reliable, Flexible and punctual
 - Knowledge of machine manufacture ideal
