Are you looking for an IC Design Team Lead/Manager – Digital/Mixed Signal role?
A good client of mine is looking for an IC Design Team Lead/Manager – Digital/Mixed Signal to join their R&D team in Hampshire.

Job Purpose - IC Design Team Lead/Manager – Digital/Mixed Signal
You will lead/manage their IC design team of 8-10 people and will need a strong background in both Digital/Mixed Signal IC design and people management experience.

Technical leadership will focus on deriving requirements and agreeing these with the sponsoring Business Unit, overseeing the implementation, verification and validation of mixed-signal ICs.

Team management will include resource and project planning, goal setting and performance monitoring, and setting and controlling team budgets.

As Head of the IC Team, you will be working closely with System Architecture, Research, Software and Sensor teams locally, as well as Analogue, Place and Route, Test and Reliability groups overseas. Defining the direction and delivery of our next-generation products. This opening is an exciting opportunity to be part of new developments and directly impact the outcome.

As well as people with a management/team lead background, this role could suit Principal, Lead, Staff, and Chief Engineers as long as you’ve had formal people management responsibility.

Main Duties - IC Design Team Lead/Manager – Digital/Mixed Signal, will include:

Work with stakeholders to define product definitions and project objectives
Manage/lead the IC team to design, verify and validate their new generation of ICs.
Provide technical direction to ensure the performance and cost-effectiveness of products are continually improved
Provide and share IC design expertise across the business.
Mentor and coach IC Development group. Essential skills and Experience - IC Design Team Lead/Manager – Digital/Mixed Signal

Experience managing teams and priorities to support multiple projects and on-time delivery.
Digital IP Development and IP Integration.
An innovative and structured approach to problem-solving and design exploration.
Expert in the design process from specification to validated silicon with the ability to leverage global teams.
Knowledgeable of the EDA capabilities of the various vendors to ensure a seamless flow from simulation of design to timing sign-off at physical implementation.
Several years of experience in digital or mixed-signal IC design.
