About the role:

Behaviour Mentor in Secondary School -Barnet

It is a wonderful opportunity for a strong, hardworking individual with a great deal of resilience who has experience working with young people in a variety of settings. A minimum of one year's experience as a behaviour mentor or a similar role is required for you to be considered for this role. It will be your responsibility as a Behaviour Mentor to work at a secondary school to support children who suffer from challenging behaviour and provide them with the support that they need. There will be times when you will be working on a 1:1 basis, but also when you will be working in smaller groups in class and out of it. In your role as a Behaviour Mentor, you will oversee working with a variety of children with different needs, such as ADHD, SEMH, SEN, along with challenging behaviours. It is essential that the ideal Behaviour Mentor is quick n their feet and pro active ready for any complex situations. It would be advantageous if you had experience with Team-Tech and physical handling training.

Currently, the team is in search of a Behaviour Mentor who can bring new ideas and strategies to the team. In addition to the senior lead team and other behaviour mentors, SENDco and pastoral support workers will be available to you.
