Are you a Teaching Assistant with a passion to encourage progression in your pupils?

This exciting Teaching Assistant vacancy is the perfect opportunity if you are looking for more flexibility and a placement in a good school in Gateshead.

This rewarding role is to start January 2025 and will be on-going until further notice.

Teaching Assistant responsibilities and duties:

–     You will be required to support students with hearing disabilities from EYFS - Y6.

– You will at all times implement school policies and procedures and manage the classroom and behaviour.

Teaching Assistants of all levels and experience will be considered for this role, including NQTs.

To be considered for the Teaching Assistant role you should have:

·       The relevant qualifications to work in a teaching environment with students with hearing disabilities.

·       The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.

·      Previous experience providing support and assistance to students with hearing disabilities and a knowledge of BSL (any level).

 ·     This role involves travelling to different primary schools so ideally you will be able to drive and have your own transport.

Teaching Assistant Salary and Benefits:

·       Competitive rates of pay from between £90 to £105 per day (AWR Compliant).

·       24/7 support and feedback from experienced education consultants.

·       Exposure and networking opportunities to associated schools.

Additional requirements:

·       Reference details will be requested prior to registration.

·       Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online, PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.

·      Must have the right to work in the UK.
