Senior Commercial Officer

The Opportunity:

We are currently looking for a Commercial Officer with a keen interest in commercial contracts to oversee the drafting and review of contracts for projects which the involve installation of electrical equipment on customer sites.

You will ensure that commercial arrangements between clients and subcontractors are watertight, and that the company’s interests are maintained respect to the business's terms and conditions, safety, lead-time, cost and quality objectives.

Screening Criteria:

* Experience in drafting and reviewing commercial contract documentation

* Exposure to direct client/stakeholder management, improving business to client relationships and ensuring adherence to contract terms

* Able to effectively negotiate the inclusion or removal of contract terms

* Experience of working with legal and compliance departments

* Exposure to engineering contract formats (JCT, NEC, FIDIC, etc.) would be highly beneficial

Role and Responsibilities:

* Scrutinize projects and contract documents to ensure risks are identified and the best interests of the company are maintained

* Work with Sales Team in the design of new systems ensuring they have the required documentation to support bids and tenders

* Negotiate contracts with customers and suppliers with a view to deliver savings and performance improvements

* Support the Sales and Project Management team to ensure the system is delivered as per customer specification
