Veterinary Surgeon, Casuarina, Darwin. Australia. £70K-£80K PA DOE.
On a rare break you can often be caught day dreaming thinking about what it would be like to work in Australia.
The outdoor lifestyle, the mountains, the beaches, the long blue-sky days, and their ‘happy-go-lucky’ attitude to life has had you dreaming about moving to Australia for a long time.
The production line consults, endless paperwork, and those petty targets aren’t what you signed up for.
Stuck in a rut, thinking about what if?
Well, what if we knew of a practice 10 mins from the beach, where a like-minded team discuss ideas openly, share best practices, digest cases, pull together when needed and clients are seen as friends?
Luckily, we do and this one is hiring for a vet.
This practice is looking for a 5 year plus qualified vet. This is a position where you have the opportunity to develop and mentor others, progress, and become a better vet.
Once every couple of months Darwin’s only specialist surgeon works between their two practices, a real bonus and opportunity, to work with, gain experience, and develop your skills further plus they provide services to Darwin's local greyhound track on a weekly basis as well.
As an Independent hospital, management understand that everyone has a voice, they share opinions, thoughts, case studies, and hold discussions. Your opinion is valued, and your voice is heard.
They are not in the crosshairs of corporate life, with no one telling them what to do from afar, and no pointless targets - the job is tough enough without adding additional stress.

The hospital itself consists of a large waiting room, 3 consultation rooms, 2 surgery suites, two bench prep and treatment areas, wet table, dental equipment/x-ray, x-ray and ultrasound room, separate kennel room for larger and noisier patients (or those requiring isolation). Everything you will need is onsite.

Generous salary, ample holiday entitlement, CPD 5 days, and rental assistance for 12 weeks. Sponsorship and relocation fees paid. The rota is 4 days a week with OOH once a week.

Within a 10 minute drive you are standing on incredible beaches (perfect for walking, running, relaxing, and exploring.) With two national parks on your doorstep and Bali a short flight away for a relaxing break, what’s not to like?
