Veterinary Surgeon. Port Pirie Australia. £48k-£58k DOE per annum.

You didn’t spend all those years at Vet School to spend less time with the patient, did you?

Production line consults, increased paperwork, and all those targets aren’t what you signed up for.

You want to be on the tools, where it matters helping, guiding, and being the best vet you can be.

Based in Port Pirie this progressive independent with an experienced team of veterinary professionals, offers clinical freedom, autonomy, and a place to develop and grow, without those daft targets.

This practice is hiring for growth, a two year plus vet but what is important is an emphatic vet, a real team player who wants to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in from the start.

This is an expanding practice with a loyal client base. There is plenty of variety, rewarding work with clinic freedom, and lots of interesting cases on offer. Mostly small animal with a good mix of medicine and surgery but there will be some cattle and equine if interested to keep your day varied and never boring!

This isn’t a practice that cuts corners they have an experienced team working in a relaxed, friendly environment together, a highly skilled team that is passionate about providing quality care whilst maintaining a focus of fun in the workplace.

This practice has a real ‘family feel,’ about it where everyone pulls together when there’s work, and relaxes when it’s time. Without the shackles of a large vet group, decisions can be made quickly and ideas are encouraged.

The rota’s fair and sensible: a 76-hour fortnight with some on-call. They believe in looking after training and developing all their vets as it is mutually beneficial, 5 days off for courses and $1200 towards CPD should cover that. You will have 3 months of accommodation provided on arrival, 4 weeks holiday, and the use of a work vehicle.

Based in Port Pirie you have plenty of amenities a short distance from the practice, shopping, great Aussie bars, and restaurants. If you are into your sports plenty here to keep you busy from, Rowing, Tennis, Football, Shooting, Swimming, the list goes on.
