Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer – Contract
Contract Length: 12 Months
Rate: £55-65 per hour (Inside IR35)
Location: Oxford

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a muti disciplined team on a 12-month contract. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, contributing to innovative designs and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Electrical Design Engineer key responsibilities:

* Produce electrical system designs for access control projects, including electrical rack and panel design, low-voltage distribution systems, and safety input/output loops.

* Utilise AutoCAD and other electrical CAD software to create schematics, hook-ups, and essential electrical design documentation.

* Procure equipment and components through commercial suppliers.

* Supervise internal and contract design staff, ensuring the quality of their work.

* Contribute to hazard analysis and risk assessment exercises.

* Participate in design reviews and system verification and validation.

* Maintain and update engineering drawings and documentation for projects.

* Ensure designs comply with relevant British, European, international, and company standards.

About You:
The ideal Electrical Design Engineer will have a proven track record in electrical systems design and be highly proficient in AutoCAD. You will be adept at working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-quality documentation.

Experience using AutoCAD to produce accurate and detailed schematics is essential.
