Senior Management Accountant

Location: Bournemouth

Contract: Fixed Term until April 2026

Salary: £41,824 per annum

Hours: Full-time, on-site

Are you an experienced ACCA or CIMA qualified professional with a passion for finance and leadership? Join the finance team of a leisure company in Bournemouth as a Senior Management Accountant.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and manage a finance team, taking responsibility for all aspects of the finance and accounting functions up to trial balance. You’ll play a key role in producing company management accounts and preparing year-end accounts for external audits.

Key Responsibilities:

Management Accounts: Timely preparation and production of monthly management accounts, ensuring all anomalies are investigated and resolved, with escalation to the Head of Finance or Director of Finance and Business Support as necessary.

Team Leadership: Lead and manage the accounts payable, receivables, reconciliation, and management accounts teams. Provide effective management, leadership, and motivation, while ensuring the team’s skills and knowledge are up-to-date.

Year-End Accounts: Prepare year-end accounts and support the annual external audit process.

About You:

ACCA / CIMA qualified.

Proven managerial experience, with the ability to coach, lead, and develop a team.

Strong technical knowledge of finance and accounting functions.
