Fawkes & Reece are proud to be partnered with a leading high end specialist fit out contractor who deliver a range of bespoke joinery manufacturing and shopfitting services to provide turn key solutions. You will be working across an array of sectors partnered with leading global companies.

The role of a Fit Out Estimator

The key responsibilities of the role are to produce project estimates from enquiries received and leading the procurement of materials and trades for projects won. The role works closely with our Commercial Manager,Joinery Estimator, Project Managers and our supplier / subcontractor database, to produce detailed quotations, raise purchase orders, manage project budgets, and approve supplier invoices, ensuring that company margins are maintained, and project timescales met.

Duties of a Fit Out Estimator

* Receiving and reviewing initial tender enquiries from new and existing clients

* Obtaining quotes from supply chain for sub-contractors and suppliers

* The ability to generate a scope of works or use client's schedules

* Calculate in-house material, labour and prelims costs

* Compile final tenders and submit to deadlines

* Answering post tender queries

* Attend on-site or virtual meetings as required

* Ability to manage multiple tenders from various clients at the same time

* Carry out negotiations with sub-contract trades to achieve best cost value

* When projects are won, managing the ordering process to sub-contractors and material suppliers

* Generating cost updates as projects progress

* Generating interim valuations and invoices

* Compiling final accounts and agreeing with clients

* Post project analysis of costs against budgets

* Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients, sub-contractors and suppliers

* Identify new opportunities with prospective markets and clients

Requirements of a Fit Out Estimator

* Proven experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor in the commercial interior design and fit-out sector

* Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and costs

* Proficient in using industry-standard estimating software and tools

* Excellent analytical and numerical skills

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy

* Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with various stakeholders

* Strong organisational and time management skills

* Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations

* Experience of developing relationships with new clients

* Salary up to £55,000 DOE
