Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join a prestigious Highways Public Realm scheme in Cambridgeshire. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project, with a minimum duration of one year, working outside IR35 for a competitive day rate.

Key Responsibilities:
·Provide technical support and guidance for site operations, ensuring accurate setting out and surveying.
·Oversee site engineering activities in line with project designs, specifications, and quality standards.
·Coordinate with site teams and subcontractors to maintain smooth workflows and ensure project milestones are met.
·Assist in managing temporary works, including preparation of designs and approvals.
·Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
·Maintain accurate records of works, as-built surveys, and quality checks.

Essential Criteria:
·Demonstrable experience in Highways or working with a UK Tier 1 contractor.
·Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering, including setting out and survey equipment.
·Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and ensuring construction is carried out to specification.
·Experience in bridges is highly desirable but not essential.
·Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
