Teaching Assistant - EYFS (Mainstream Primary School)
Location: Islington
Salary: £90-£110 per day
Start Date: January

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in a 1-form entry mainstream primary school in Islington. This full-time, term-time-only role begins in January and offers a chance to help children thrive during their foundational years of education.

You will:

Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities.
Provide 1:1 and small group support to children, fostering their learning and development.
Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), which may include:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Speech and Language Difficulties
Sensory Processing Needs
Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs (SEMH)
Developmental delays and other early learning challenges.
Promote a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
Help monitor and record pupil progress, working collaboratively with teachers and parents.

Requirements:

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
Right to work in the UK.
Experience working in UK schools, ideally in EYFS settings.
A passion for early childhood education and development.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
