Learning Support Assistant - KS1 (Mainstream Primary School)
Location: Islington
Salary: £90-£110 per day
Start Date: January
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate Learning Support Assistant to work full-time in a 1-form entry mainstream primary school in Islington. This role involves supporting KS1 pupils during term time only, starting in January.

You will:

Support pupils in small groups or on a 1:1 basis.
Work with children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), which may include:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Speech and Language Difficulties
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Sensory Processing Needs
Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs (SEMH)
Dyslexia or other learning difficulties.
Collaborate with teachers and the SEND team to deliver individual education plans (IEPs).
Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Monitor and track pupil progress, reporting to teachers and parents as needed.

Requirements:

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
Right to work in the UK.
Experience working in UK schools, ideally with SEND pupils.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A caring, patient, and proactive approach to learning support.
