Job Opportunity: Skilled Setter/Supervisor – Afternoon Shift

Additional Information:

Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per year
Benefits: Company pension, free parking, on-site parking
Bonus Scheme: Performance-based bonuses
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Afternoon Shift
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are currently seeking a skilled Setter/Supervisor to join our client’s dynamic afternoon shift team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, hands-on experience with HAAS machinery, and proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks. As a Setter, you will be responsible for ensuring machinery and equipment are set up correctly for production, maintaining high-quality standards, and contributing to overall manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and adjust machinery according to specifications to ensure optimal production output.
Operate hand tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
Use CAD software (SolidWorks) for the design and modification of components.
Conduct routine inspections of machinery to identify maintenance needs.
Fabricate parts using milling machines and welding techniques.
Manage materials efficiently within a warehouse environment, ensuring proper storage and organization.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot equipment and logic controller issues.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks.
Hands-on experience with hand tools, welding, milling machines, and materials handling.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a logical approach to troubleshooting.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
