Food Tech Teacher – Eastbourne

Pay – £115 - £250 per day

Location – Eastbourne, East Sussex

Contract – Full time, part-time available

About the School: 

Supply Desk are partnering with a vibrant secondary school in Eastbourne that prides itself on fostering creativity and practical skills among its students. The school has a dynamic and supportive atmosphere, with a strong focus on providing high-quality learning opportunities. They are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Food Technology Teacher to join their growing Design and Technology department. This role is long-term and full-time, with the potential for the right candidate to transition into a permanent position.

About the role:

This is a fantastic full-time opportunity to teach Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, hands-on lessons that inspire a passion for cooking and nutrition in students. You will contribute to the department’s aim of equipping students with practical skills and an understanding of healthy eating, while also supporting the school’s continued success in GCSE attainment.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in a related field. A recognised teaching qualification is advantageous.
• Have recent experience working in either an education or catering capacity.
• Be creative and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for your subject.
• Have strong classroom management skills and high expectations of student achievement.
• Be able to design and deliver lessons that are fun, engaging, and aligned with the National Curriculum.
• Be a committed team player, eager to contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking department.
• Show a proven track record of high attainment and a positive approach to teaching.
