Teaching Assistant - SEMH Provision (Shropshire)

About the School:
This special provision in Shropshire caters to pupils aged 5 to 19 years old with SEMH and additional learning difficulties. The school is dedicated to providing tailored and focused classes that foster a nurturing and supportive learning environment. They strive to meet each student's individual needs, helping them to build confidence, gain key skills, and make significant progress both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and group support to pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs.
* Assist in delivering a differentiated curriculum, ensuring that learning is accessible to all pupils.
* Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
* Help manage classroom behaviour and provide emotional support to pupils.
* Maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing environment for students to learn and grow.
* Support pupils during break times and in extracurricular activities, where appropriate.

Key Requirements:
* Experience in a teaching assistant or support role (preferably in SEMH, special educational needs, or similar settings).
* Understanding of SEMH and additional learning difficulties.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
* Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support children and young people in their learning journey.
* Team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
* A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently when required.
* A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable, but not essential.
