Electrical Engineer – Overview

We are working with a successful and established Renewable Energy company who specialise in the installation of Low Carbon Heat Networks and standalone GSHP Installations in commercial and large domestic premises. They are currently looking for a Electrical Engineer to join their team, carrying out installation, commissioning and maintenance works on heat pump systems for large residential, commercial and multi occupancy projects.

The company have been operating since 2012 and have quickly grown to be one of the largest and most successful companies operating in the Low Carbon Heat Network space as well as offering Heat Pump Solutions for Multi Occupancy of Commercial premises. Their work is based mostly along the M4 corridor with occasional sites further afield on the South Coast and in other areas.

The systems you will be working on include installation projects for Heat Pump Networks with Pumping Stations, providing low cost, low-carbon, ground source heating infrastructure for housing developers. Others are standalone Ground Source Heat Pump systems for large commercial premises and also commercial scale ASHP (80-120KW+) as sites such as Nursing Homes/Care Homes and others. You role will focus on:

* Electrical Installations for Heat Pumps: Plan and execute electrical work for heat pump installations, including wiring, control systems, and power supply integration.

* Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform electrical maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on installed heat pump systems and other electrical systems, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient operation.

* Testing and Commissioning: Conduct thorough testing of installations and maintenance work to ensure compliance, system efficiency, and client satisfaction.

* Collaboration with Project Teams: Work closely with project managers, and the O&M teams to coordinate projects and maintenance schedules effectively.

Electrical Engineer – Requirements

* NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services or similar

* BS 7671 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations

* CSCS/ECS Card (or equivalent certification required for working on construction sites in the UK

* Experience working on heat pump systems preferred and performing general electrical maintenance on electrical systems.

* Inspection and Testing Certification (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent) is desirable.

* Ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.

Electrical Engineer – Salary & Remuneration

* Salary £40,000 - £50,000

* Door to Door travel pay

* Company Vehicle + Fuel Card

* £150 retainer for Call Out + Overtime Rates if called out

* 25 days Holiday + BH

* Tools, Uniform, PPE, Mobile

* Full Sick Pay
