We are working with a leading facilities management service provider and one of the largest family-owned property services companies in the UK, hiring a value driven Commercial Director to cover the North West, out of the Redditch office (flexible working).

Over the past decade, the FM business has grown its turnover from £10 million to £60 million, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and innovation. Reporting to the Commercial Director, the successful candidate will provide strategic support and lead the commercial team on all matters relating to procurement, strategy, risk management, pre and post contract, margin improvement, and people development for the maintenance / facilities side of the business, helping to squeeze value out of exisiting relationships and drive new business across the full TFM spectrum. The role covers all regional commercial activities across Central and North England.

Key Responsibilities:

Full responsibility for profitability of projects across the region.

Develop, lead, and implement the project commercial strategy.

Staff allocation and resource planning.

Ensure compliance with governance and H&S strategies.

Provide independent and effective challenge to the business, focusing on early warning and intervention.

Ideal Candidate:

Proven experience in a commercial director role, preferably within the facilities management or property services sector.

Strong background in quantity surveying or financial value creation.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Strategic thinker with a focus on value creation and cost optimization.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Experience managing housing maintenance projects across multiple sites.
