Description

On behalf of our client we are currently looking for a Qualified Lawyer to join them on a Temporary basis, Initially for 3 months.

Pay Rate: £50ph - £55ph

Core Responsibilities:

* Hold and manage a complex caseload of contentious and/or non-contentious legal matters, depending on the area of specialism.

* Carry out detailed and often complex legal research and interrogate intelligence and data sources to make informed decisions and recommendations in line with current legislation, policies and procedures.

* Produce high quality written documents to support legal matters, such as drafting agreements, pleadings, other legal documents, written reports, letters, presentations and other communications in accordance with Council policy and legal requirements.

* Keep up to date with emerging legislation, technologies and best practice within the legal field.

* Provide an advanced level of legal advice to Council officers and members to inform strategies, actions, priorities and decisions.

* Attend and formally represent the Council/service at meetings, committees, forums and consultation events.

* Create and provide engaging presentations and supporting documentation.

* Represent the Council at court, appeals and inquiries as required.

This role is Hybrid, fully remote may be possible for the right candidate.

Essential Criteria:
