Description

Due to extremely high demand, we are actively recruiting experienced Residential Care Workers to support Children and Young People who live with varying degrees of learning disabilities. Support will be required in the Waterlooville, Fareham, and Locks Heath areas within the residential units in which they reside.

We are able to offer the following shift patterns for supporting these Children and Young People:- earlies, lates, long days and waking nights - it is up to you which shift pattern you prefer to work; however, continuity is extremely important when working in these units. Candidates already working for us, value the ability to work as much or as little as they like, being able to fit work around their lifestyle and other commitments or working for us as their main source of income.

We are looking for people who preferably have experience in supporting Children and Young people within a residential environment. An update Team Teach qualification or equivalent is preferred but not essential for this role. Applying Candidates will be working as the second person on a 2:1 with these Children and Young People, as they can at times display behaviours that challenge and can be unpredictable.

Candidates will ideally possess the skills and mindset capable of working with vulnerable Children and Young People, who have had to face many traumatic issues both physically and emotionally. As a Residential Care Worker, you will be emotionally resilient, patient, and empathetic, understanding the need for consistency in your approach and communication skills. The ability to create and maintain safe working boundaries between you and the Children and Young People you support is of paramount importance.

If this sounds like a role you would be interested in, we would love to hear from you!
