Westlakes Recruit is currently recruiting for an Project Director - Tertiary MEP to support the NEOM The Line project on a permanent basis in KSA.

Role Overview

The Project Director - MEP is responsible for managing all pre- and post-construction activities related to tertiary MEP services in the 3D MMC assembly facility and onsite for 2D and 3D residential and non-residential assets across City Built Infrastructure. This role involves oversight of planning, coordination, and project interfaces for tertiary MEP systems, ensuring alignment with primary MEP systems, commissioning, and handover requirements. The incumbent will work closely with the City Infrastructure MEP team to deliver primary MEP services to vertical core locations and basement areas.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership:
Oversee the delivery of pre- and post-construction phases for MEP services in residential and non-residential assets.
Provide leadership to engineers and project managers, offering mentorship and guidance to achieve project goals.
Ensure critical milestones are met for each phase of the project.

Work Package Development:
Develop MEP work package plans incorporating prefabricated components or packaged plants to align with cost plans and programme objectives.
Ensure MEP design aligns with the project execution plan to optimize assembly in manufacturing facilities, minimizing onsite installation and commissioning.

Design and Procurement Integration:
Provide input during design phases to ensure buildability aligns with project deliverables.
Develop procurement execution strategies aligned with project goals, addressing risks related to buildability, programme, and whole life cycle costs.

Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain effective stakeholder relations across a multi-faceted organization.
Develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans to manage expectations and deliverables.

Quality Assurance and Risk Management:
Work closely with QC/QA teams to meet all deliverables in compliance with standards and procedures.
Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring hazard management processes are effectively implemented.

Monitoring and Reporting:
Prepare periodic reports summarizing project progress, key milestones, and mitigation plans for addressing risks.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and project governance.

Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other responsibilities as required by the role to support successful project delivery.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Strong technical problem-solving skills for complex MEP projects.
Proven track record with PMC and main contractors in delivering large-scale projects.
Extensive experience building and leading multidisciplinary teams.
Demonstrable success in delivering large, complex projects as Project Lead or Director.
Proficient in managing multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Self-motivated, proactive leadership qualities with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) services.
Minimum 25+ years of experience in consultancy and construction of mega-scale MEP projects.
10+ years of experience in design review, project management, and consultancy for large MEP projects.
