Senior Buyer

Industry: Manufacturing

Location: Isle of Wight

Hours: 40 hours per week

Days: Monday - Friday

Duration: Permanent

Duties:

Procurement of consumables, parts, materials, subcontractors and services, to quality standards,
Negotiating with new and existing suppliers to achieve the best terms,
Advising project managers and delivery teams on status of demands,
Reporting and reducing risks by raising and resolving single source supply and critical path items and stock holding requirements, escalating concerns,
Provide costings to support bids, budgets and analysis,
Researching and reviewing shipping, import and export charges,
Ensure compliance with Import/ Export and industry regulations.

Experience:

Must have good level of previous experience within a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing sector, but must include international sourcing,
Must have strong level of computer literacy including MS Excel and procurement systems,
Must have excellent negotiation, communication, problem solving and decision making skills, with strong attention to details and the ability to work autonomously.

Salary: £26 - 31,000 per annum
