TeacherActive are proud to be working with a mainstream primary school in the Port Talbot area. This school prides itself on it’s friendly, welcoming, and nurturing environment where positive relationships and lifelong friendships are made. This position is full-time for a term initially to cover a secondment, however, this role has a potential to extend for the right person.

The school are looking for a Foundation Phase Teacher who will be able to follow the Read Write Inc phonics framework to plan engaging and inclusive lessons. The school are looking for a primary teacher who can create a stimulate learning environment that supports the development of each child to reach their full potential. More importantly, they have the ability to fosters a positive relationship with pupils, parents, and colleagues in a supportive learning community. The ideal candidate will organise and direct the work of support staff to maximise learning outcomes in the classroom and write end of term reports. This position will start in January and be reviewed March 2025.

 The successful Teacher will have:

QTS
Experience of working in the Foundation Phase
Will have a sound knowledge and experience of teaching phonics.
Read Write Inc qualification.
