KS2 Teacher – PMLD School – MPS – UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience) – Hounslow – ASAP start – Permanent

The role – KS2 Teacher

I am working with a SEN school based in Hounslow that is looking for a new KS2 Teacher to join their team. For this role you will be teaching a small KS2 intervention class for pupils with challenging behaviour and severe learning difficulties, you must create, engaging lessons that give children different opportunities. In this role you will need to use PECS to communicate with the children and cater to their significant sensory needs, you will need to plan, lead the class, and complete reports as well as managing the three other members of staff. For this KS2 Teacher role you must be team teach trained, proactive, and encourage the students to be as independent as possible in all their learning and to teach them in academic appropriate way. You must hold QTS and be willing to support the children positively in all situations as well as being able to work well in a team and communicate with adults and children.

This school is a primary school based in Hounslow that caters for 150 pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties, they celebrate each child’s unique abilities and achievements in a creative and supportive environment. The school’s most recent Ofsted rating was Good, and they have many local bus routes with a national rail station a short walk away.
