Full-Time Teaching Assistant - SEND School (South Liverpool)

Tradewind Recruitment is excited to be working with a dynamic and supportive SEND school in South Liverpool that is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.

About the Role:

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on making a difference in challenging but rewarding environments. You will:

Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with complex needs, including Autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs), and physical disabilities.
Assist in the implementation of personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies.
Promote positive interactions and develop strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports emotional and academic development.
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you should:

Have experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly those with complex needs.
Possess strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
Be able to adapt to the individual needs of each pupil.
Hold a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
