Job Title: RORO Driver

Location: Lynnbottom Waste Transfer Station, Newport, Isle of Wight
Salary: £14.03/hour
Employment Type: Temp to Perm
Schedule:

Friday/Saturday/Sunday: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Monday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

Transport Skips: Safely transport RORO skips within the designated site and to specified locations.
Waste Collection: Collect and deliver waste materials to recycling centres or disposal facilities.
Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine checks to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety protocols, including PPE usage.
Documentation: Accurately record collections, deliveries, and vehicle checks.
Customer Interaction: Maintain professionalism and address queries or concerns promptly.
Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to road safety and environmental policies.

Requirements

Licenses:
Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving license.
CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) Card.
Digital Tacho card.
Experience:
Proven RORO driving experience.
Familiarity with waste management and recycling processes.
Skills:
Physical fitness for manual tasks, including skip handling.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

Health and safety certifications related to waste management.
Experience operating additional waste collection vehicles.
