We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC Machine Operator to work for our prestigious client based in Hoddesdon. As a CNC Machine Operator, you must be able to produce a consistent level of quality with a good understanding of housekeeping and understand the importance of good / safe working practices is vital. The ideal candidate will have a positive mindset, can-do attitude, and a desire to work in a team-based environment. Attention to detail and good manual dexterity are a must.

The role is a full-time permanent position working from 7am – 4.30pm (Monday – Friday) offering a competitive salary.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Program, set, and operate CNC machine - including packing the final products ready for shipment.

* Using AutoCAD/Computer Design Software.

* Operate CNC machine to tight tolerances.

* Produce high quality components from drawings.

* Ensuring all production achieves the highest quality standards in line with the company's quality procedures.

* Ensuring all necessary documentation and labelling is completed and production records are maintained.

* Carry out basic maintenance on machines and tools if necessary.

* Ensuring you always adhere to company procedures and rules and follow both verbal and written instruction.

* Ensuring all manufacture is completed in a timely fashion within the given timescales to meet the required delivery date

* Develop and improve manufacturing methods.

* Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

* Ensuring health and safety standards are always met.

* Carry out any other duties as requested by the Supervisor across other production areas.

Skills/Experience

* Minimum 3 years’ experience using CNC machines (any material).

* Experience with Zund CNC machines (preferred but not essential).

* Skilled in AutoCad or 2D/3D computer design packages.

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

* Comfortable working with measurements.

* Experience using tools/power tools.

* A forklift license would be an advantage.

* Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

* Good attention to detail.

* Ability to work quickly and accurately.

* Ability to use initiative.

* Lean manufacturing concepts and experience

* Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook
