Laser Machinist
Ripley
Day shifts Monday - Friday
Up to £36,000 per annum (based on a 45 hour week)
Permanent Opportunity
Our client is currently recruiting for a Laser machinist within the Ripley area. Laser machinist will be confident setting, operating and programming a laser machine and be responsible for the daily running and productivity of this machine. There are multiple machines that will be expected to be run but training can be provided for any machines not worked on if you are a Laser Machinist or Press Brake machinist able to program machinery.
The company - Make all structural steel including mezzanine floors, staircases and storage units and mainly work with amazon and various other warehousing companies for storage solutions.
The role:
Working on multiple machines on shop floor such as laser machine, Press brake machine and Tube cutter
Working on materials such as sheet metal and Mild steel
Making products like Mezzanine floors brackets and plates
The candidate
Either worked on Laser machine, Press brake or Tube machine as a programmer setter operator
Client will consider anyone with experience on Trumpf or Bystronic controls
Ideally worked within the heavy steel industry
Punch and press brake machining experience is advantageous

Package:
Up to £15 per hour for the first 40 hours worked in the week and up to £22.50 for 5 hours per week classed as compulsory overtime (45 hours week in total)
Monday - Friday (Apply online only) - 45 hours per week
Hours worked over 40 hours paid at a time & ½ every week
Can be either temp to perm or permanent depending on candidate's situation
£30 bonus weekly for working all contracted hours for permanent employees
