IS Group are seeking to recruit a Fabrication Supervisor to join our team based in Flint, near Chester.  You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £36,000 - £42,000 per annum.

We manufacture from our factory near Chester for clients nationwide with an emphasis on quality and innovation.

About the Fabrication Supervisor role:

The Fabrication Supervisor will work with the Production Manager to oversee daily operations in the workshop co-ordinating the fabrication, graphics and installation teams, ensuring that the signage products are produced efficiently, to the highest quality standards, and within specified timelines. This role involves supervising a team of fabricators, coordinating workflow, maintaining health and safety protocols, and ensuring continuous improvement in production processes.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in coordinating with other departments to ensure seamless production. You will lead and manage the daily operations of the fabrication department, with a focus on producing high-quality  signage being aware of.

This role is offered salaried on a permanent basis of Monday-Thursday 8.00-16.30 Friday 8.00-15.30 day but additional hours maybe required to meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities as our Fabrication Supervisor will include:

Leading and managing a small team of fabricators, welders, and other shop floor personnel co-ordinating with graphics department.

Ensuring that all job packs are accurate and prepared for installation team members. Hold pre installation meetings.

Ensuring that the team are meeting production targets and assigning daily targets. Commercial awareness.

Making sure that all products are meeting company quality standards

Making sure that health and safety protocols are being maintained and making sure that deadlines are being met.

Identifying opportunities for process improvement in fabrication techniques and production methods.

Working within BS1090-2 quality standards

What we’re looking for in our Fabrication Supervisor:

Degree or HNC in engineering.

Proven experience and qualifications in engineering.

Ability to use Solidworks for a full understanding of CAD drawings

Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a production environment.

Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Proficiency in using manufacturing software for tracking and reporting production data.

Ability to analyse and improve manufacturing processes to increase productivity.

Experience in MIS systems, Microsoft.
